Adomoc Artisan Licence

The Adomoc® Artisan Licence (AAL) (PDF) is intended to make it easy for independent, artisan game makers to fashion their own physical Adomoc boards and playing pieces for sale in small quantities. The AAL is inspired by the Creative Commons and free and open source principles. We want to spread Adomoc everywhere and we hope you’ll help.

Please read the details of the AAL, but here’s the gist of how it works.

If you’re making 100 games or fewer per year, we consider you an artisan game maker and not a mass commercial production facility. As an artisan game maker, with every game you sell, you must do the following three things.

  1. Provide a notice that indicates the Adomoc International Web site URL: www.adomoc.com
  2. Provide a notice that indicates “Adomoc is a registered trademark of Joshua Chalifour”
  3. And include a complete copy of the official Adomoc rules (which you can download in English here or Français ici).

That’s it.

If you choose to make and distribute Adomoc games under the AAL, please let us know. We would be happy to provide information on how to find and purchase your games, as well as link to them from the AI shop. Also, we love to see people’s work.

In the future, we may provide special offers to Adomoc International members and provide other useful services.
